Rinsing
Rinse the coffee machine
You can rinse your Cafitesse Excellence Compact Black regularly, if you want to. But a weekly and daily cleaning is sufficient.
Rinse your coffee machine in 4 simple steps.
Step 1
Activate rinse mode
Hold down the red stop button while pressing the lower right (Enter) button. After about 2 to 3 seconds, the machine enters cleaning mode. Make sure you press the red stop button before you press the bottom right button, otherwise the machine will produce a drink.

Step 2
Select the rinsing program
On the display you will see "Rinse". Press "Enter" (bottom button on the right).

Step 3
Replace the collection tray
The display now reads "Place collection container". You need to place the provided collection tray under the spout. Should you not have one on hand, you can use a container of at least 1 litre.
Step 4
Start rinsing
Once you have placed the collection tray, you can press "Enter". The coffee machine will start to rinse. This takes no more than 5 minutes.
Note! The liquids are hot. So don't touch them.
